Windows 11 isn’t very different from Windows 10, but it has some new features worth exploring. If you’ve already taken a Leap, you should have noticed the sleek redesign, including the relocation of the Start button. Here are some less obvious skills that can increase your experience.
Reset the “Start” button.
If you can’t easily see the central taskbar, you can move the button back to the lower left corner of the screen. To do this, open the settings panel by clicking on it. In the drop-down menu called Taskbar Behavior, you can select Align Left. The button will now move to its original location, so you can access double rainbow game with just a few clicks.
Corrected the right mouse button menu
If you right-click or click on any icon, you’ll see only the most important options. To access all (such as changing the background, seeing the full location of the file or printing), select Show advanced options.
Adjustable quick settings panel
In this version of the operating system, the notifications of the quick panel are separated from its settings. To access the latter, click on the task tray with the Wi-Fi, speaker and battery icons. In the advanced menu, you can control Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections, airplane mode, battery saving options and more. Add or remove pins in the settings area by clicking the edit button that looks like a pencil.
Manage your desktop with ease
In Windows 11, you don’t see the View Tasks button. Instead, the interface includes a control icon on the taskbar. It makes it easy to create and manage one or more desktops. When you hover over it, it will show an open virtual desktop and allow you to add a new desktop. You can arrange and change items as you like, and you can drag and drop programs from one desktop to another.
All widgets in one place
Windows 11 offers better options for using widgets. You can manage your Outlook calendar, track stock prices, check the weather forecast and read the latest news. All these functions are available from a single widget icon on the taskbar. They can be adjusted and reset. You can also set your news preferences with Microsoft News.
Multitasking is now easy
Hovering over the zoom button in the app will reveal several layout options. For example, you can choose to have one large window appear on the left side of the screen and one above the other on the right side. The Snap layout is great for multitasking.
Focus sessions
This is another great way to increase your productivity in Windows 11. Distracting chats and video messages will not appear on the screen! This mode allows you to schedule time (at least 30 minutes) for work so you can focus. Go to Alarms & Clocks to access focus sessions. Classes longer than 45 minutes include an automatic break that gives you a 5 minute break. Fans of the Pomodoro time management system should rejoice!
